Transportation of steel flanges for wind tower sections from Europe to US, providing complete logistics services both in the country of origin and the US. Collecting of cargo at manufacturer’s facilities, transportation to port of loading, customs clearance, sea freight, port operation at loading and discharging ports and road transportation to final destination in the US.
Shipments to US of wind turbine components
Constant shipments of wind turbine components (tower sections, blades, nacelles and hubs) from Spain and other European countries to the US, moving the cargo from factory in origin to different US ports, such as Houston, San Diego, Baltimore, Duluth or Philadelphia. The services provided included road transportation to loading port, customs procedures, sea freight, loading and discharge of vessel, lashing and securing. At the same time, different shipment from US ports have been performed since 2008.
Storage yards
We manage more than 1,000,000 sqm (250 acre) of permanent open air storage areas, outside the ports, for wind turbine components. Those facilities handle more than 1,200 nacelles, 2,800 tower sections and 3,000 blades per year.
For specific projects, smaller storage areas have been developed in different countries, far away from the production centers, to avoid shortage of components during construction and erection process.
